While checking for a solution of the uninstallability in sid/amd64 (the
package probably missed some transitions while in NEW), I noticed that
it FTBFS:

I'm unsure how that would have happened, all the builds have been done
from source.
We just uploaded 0.5.3-1 today, which I did a test build from source in
a newly built debian unstable chroot. All I did was debootstrap and
then install build-deps mentioned in debian/control.
