There are few issues with the GTK3 Interface that provokes a ugly visualization in several themes: The first one is that the TOOLBAR does NOT HAVE 100% size. So, it breaks after "Search" button. With a plain theme, this is not noticed, but if you use a theme with a Toolbar style, the appearance lacks and synaptic does not look very good: http://pasteall.org/pic/show.php?id=117941 Here you can see how the toolbar ends instead to fill all the window size.
