Hello all,
I concur with Soenke. After upgrading recently, this bug no longer
exists in version 4:5.14.5.1-3 on testing. It seems like it was a
dependency problem after all.

I did an upgrade this morning and it pulled in a bunch of plasma
framework packages:

libkf5declarative-data:all 5.62.0-1

plasma-workspace 4:5.14.5.1-3 (available with Sid) has the same problems.

I am also experiencing this issue. This issue also affects searching for
applications using the Application Dashboard widget. Downgrading to
5.14.5.1-1 resolves the System Tray widget disappearing and the
Application
This is to confirm that the problem is reproducible on Bullseye x86_64.
The bug appeared on two of my computers after upgrading.
As Soenke described downgrading to the Buster package fixes it.
