I can't provide help but would like to express interest for this
repository switch as I do use post-mode for years and appreciate it
quite a lot.
I've been lurking on this thread ever since I was cc'ed. It's been a
month now with no response, so I'll volunteer that I'm willing to
support / maintain the package for the benefit of debian emacs users.

The upstream listed in /usr/share/doc/post-el/copyright seems rather
inactive. https://github.com/Boruch-Baum/post-mode/ has several
updates and enhancements. Please consider switching to it.
