Package: git-buildpackage Version: 0.9.22 Severity: normal Tags: upstream X-Debbugs-Cc: deb...@microjoe.org
Dear Maintainer, When trying to clone the upstream repository, the followng error occurs on my machine: $ LANG=en_US.utf-8 git clone https://git.sigxcpu.org/cgit/git-buildpackage/ Cloning into 'git-buildpackage'... fatal: unable to access 'https://git.sigxcpu.org/cgit/git-buildpackage/': server certificate verification failed. CAfile: none CRLfile: none However, I can access the URL using Firefox. After some investigation with other Debian folks on IRC, it seems that this error is occuring because git is using GNUTLS, while Firefox is using OpenSSL. There is probably something wrong with the TLS certificate. This is preventing me (and probably others) from cloning the repository in order to investigate issues and propose patches to fix them. Using `apt source` is less practical because of the loss of history on the file changes.
