Here is a cleaner patch for this bug: don't feel impressed/scared by the
number of changed lines, it's mostly due to re-indentation of code after
removing a couple of if()s.

No, upstream is not active anymore and does not
JFTR, I also hit this problem. It happened during the switch of daylight
savings, causing two backups being created the same day, with a different
timezone offset (+1 and +2).
After removing all backup files from that day, everything worked again.

upgrading to 1.4.2-2. However, for some reason downgrading the kernel module to

hostname or from the configuration file.
