Dear Debian Kernel Developers,
Using kernel-image-2.6.10-i-686 from Debian, I am not
able to use my USB 2.0 Flash drive.
Upon plugging in the USB 2.0 Flash Drive, I am not
able to mount it, and dmesg shows errors:

If on a testing system, I do apt-get install libnewt-dev aalib1-dev I get an
error.
The problem is that aalib1-dev requires slang1-dev and libnewt-dev requires
slang1-utf8-dev and slang1-dev and slang1-utf8-dev conflict.

I just installed 2.2.2-1. It also ignores /etc/postfix/sasl/smtpd.conf
and uses /usr/lib/sasl2/smtpd.conf instead...

There's already a couple of bug reports requesting that this be fixed, but I

I could not reproduce this bug on i386 or amd64.
The relevant bit appears to be:
