2. execute update-initramfs -u
vfat fs doesn't support hard link though, use /boot as esp is possible, which
leads to problem on Debian.

When I use proxy softwares which need iptables to work, I notice that
Debian has decided to use nftables as its default firewalling framework,
and Debian Wiki
for dh_comporess not to
compress .conf files? Or just put these files in system-wide
location like /etc/mpv to serve as default configuration.
