The patch which is causing this issue is shared_roster_recent.patch.
I first tested by removing shared_roster_online.patch. And I was still
getting the same error.
I then removed shared_roster_recent.patch. And I no longer got the error.

I have identified the problem. It was a small bug in the script which I
was using to add shared roster groups. This bug may be closed.
