No, the situation has not improved, iceweasel still does not start,
neither any xulrunner-based application.

I tried to run iceweasel with a clean profile (removing ~ /.mozilla),
now instead of just doing nothing and staying in the background,
iceweasel crashes: Gnome's bug-buddy launched, qnd produced the
attached debug information: Hope it helps.
Is it possible that it is related to xulrunner ?
