Chinese environment

Hi! I am not sure my procedures are correct or not in order to set Chinese (Big5) environment. I am using 2.2r5, kernel 2.2.19. apt-get install task-chinese-t but how to generate locale from libc6 2.2, I skip this part type in this in .bashrc (my directory is /home/ngterry/) alias

hi You need modify something. ;-) alias ls='ls-show-control-chars' Three lines below should be zh_TW.BIG5, export LC_ALL=zh_CN.GB2312 export LC_CTYPE=zh_CN.GB2312 export LANG=ZH_CN.GB2312 You need choose one from two lines blow. For Big5, I suggest xcin. You should use XCIN as input
