Choosing a toolkit

There seem to be quite a few gui tookits:
Xlib, GTK+, Tcl/Tk, and Motif just to
name a few. I downloaded GTK+, but it
hasn't had a new stable version since
before 2000.

What is the most common toolkit
that YOU use for x11 development?
