Hi, My condolences for "too many non-bug bug-reports" :-)
I have no objection to have some mention for the multiarch in release-notes. But relaistically, users who do not read NEWS.Debian (very long) will likely not to read long release-notes :-( So documenting here will have minimal impact for the number of bug reports. I suggest you to add /usr/share/bug/<packagename>/presubj files to each binary package such as libc6, libc6-dev, ... to prevent further report coming to you libc maintainers. (If it is still possible under freeze.) presubj file can be(Without leading "| "): | If you are using a non-Debian toolchain to build your software and | it is not able to cope with the multiarch file path for libc, it is | not a libc *bug*. | | You might work around by passing -B/usr/lib/$arch to your compiler. or any other short contents to guide bug reporters. (possibly to the release notes describing work arounds) Regards, Osamu -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
