Thanks for reporting this. This bug was fixed in the tzdata2005o release (2005-11-28) and was propagated into libc last month. The Debian folks need not wait for libc patches; they can simply grab the latest time zone data from ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/tzdata* themselves. This would be a nice thing to do, so that people could simply use 'aptitude' to keep their time zone tables up-to-date. > So it became a two-year temporary measure?
