It would be great if KDE provided personalized menus just like in
Windows 2000 (http://www.activewin.com/tips/win2000/1/2000_tips_9.shtml).
In short, this means that after you've used the Start menu enough, the
menu collapses to only show the items you use. The

Are you sure the new libs package includes the fix?
If it does, the fix just doesn't work, the new package didn't change
anything for me. After a re-login didn't help I even rebootet my laptop,
alas, to now avail.

Once you didi that, you should see at the startup kdm working : it is
the graphical login manager.
Then you type your login, chose a session type, type your password,
and should see a KDE session starting.
If nothing graphical happens, that is probably because there is a
problem with the X.org's
