Sometimes it hangs when navigating through the directory structure, and sometimes when actually trying to save the file. This is, of course, quite a serious problem. I've lost my entire document several times because I can't save it. I'm rating this as important and not grave because it doesn't appear that other people are experiencing this bug. I'll try to capture a backtrace in case that would be useful. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.4-joehill Locale: LANG=3Den_US, LC_CTYPE=3Den_US Versions of packages openoffice.org depends on: ii debianutils 2.8 Miscellaneous utilities specif= ic t ii dictionaries-common 0.22.4 Common utilities for spelling = dict ii openoffice.org-bin 1.1.0+1.1.1rc3-1 OpenOffice.org office suite bi= nary ii openoffice.org-debian 1.1.0+1.1.1rc3-1+1 Debian specific parts of OpenO= ffic ii openoffice.org-l10n-e 1.1.0+1.1.1rc3-1 English (US) language package = for=20 -- no debconf information --=20 Adam Kessel http://adam.rosi-kessel.org --pWyiEgJYm5f9v55/ Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAZb19dTf3ZklQ6qYRAqHNAKCGZEegXl4Zeg4HwM8L0hTJnsux7ACgtwZE KWZZS1cUs9Qtb+KqJ8r3IVM= =C22+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --pWyiEgJYm5f9v55/-- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 240475-close) by bugs.debian.org; 26 Aug 2004 11:28:46 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Aug 26 04:28:46 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from moutng.kundenserver.de [212.227.126.171] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1C0IQw-0003ZM-00; Thu, 26 Aug 2004 04:28:46 -0700 Received: from [212.227.126.179] (helo=mrelayng.kundenserver.de) by moutng.kundenserver.de with esmtp (Exim 3.35 #1) id 1C0IQv-0003Fq-00 for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Thu, 26 Aug 2004 13:28:45 +0200 Received: from [80.128.227.211] (helo=wallace.thehalls.de) by mrelayng.kundenserver.de with asmtp (Exim 3.35 #1) id 1C0IQu-0000Ih-00 for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Thu, 26 Aug 2004 13:28:45 +0200 Received: from feathers (feathers [192.168.10.4]) by wallace.thehalls.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id 64FBA98AF for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Thu, 26 Aug 2004 13:28:39 +0200 (CEST) Received: by feathers (Postfix, from userid 1050) id 0F9AB8007; Thu, 26 Aug 2004 13:28:57 +0200 (CEST) Subject: Re: Bug#240475: openoffice.org: crashes on "save as" dialogue From: Chris Halls <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Ximian Evolution 1.4.6 Date: Thu, 26 Aug 2004 13:28:56 +0200 X-Provags-ID: kundenserver.de [EMAIL PROTECTED] auth:b46e2b357ea7d4f6cadf4c99fb902606 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: On Thu, 2004-07-01 at 15:43, Adam Kessel wrote: > Yup, looks like your 1.1.2 packages don't have this bug either. Thanks, we've not heard further reports so I guess this is fixed in 1.1.2 for everyone. > Interestingly, pressing 'tab' in the save dialogue attempts to save > immediately with this version, with whatever filename you have there, > unless it is a valid directory name. Hmm, in that case I would guess that Michael Meeks of Ximian only wrote the autocompletion patch for file open. It's not something I have time to pursue and I guess Michael hasn't had time to work on a similar patch for the save dialog. I guess this may be becuase OOo 2.0 will probably use native GTK/Qt file dialogs anyway. Chris
