Control: tags 940016 + unreproducible + moreinfo
I have a sddm set up with lwm as one of the options and it has not happened to me so far. Have you tried looking in your ~/.xsession-errors ? I guess you would need to reboot to be able to access given that you are dealing with a screen freeze. Anything relevant could be posted here.
