una pregunta sencilla, acabo de instalar debian 2.2r3 (unicamente tengo
los primeros dos discos), todo ha salido bien, solo que cuando me
pregunta si deseo instalar xdm para que maneje los logins graficos le
indico que
Puedes desactivarlo a mano con
chmod -x /etc/init.d/xdm
o puedes tambien instalar gdm que es mas bonito y te da mas opciones a
la hora de arrancar.
Pero es raro que no te valide los usuarios. Seguro que estas escribiendo
todo igual respetando las mayusculas?

I think most of us would agree that linux is not the easiest to use and in X,
it is not the fastest and still not near the ease of use of windows - Mozilla
takes a good few seconds to load up on at least the lower spec

if you follow the kernel mailing list, it is not recommended to have
2.4.11 installed and running due to security problems.
Linus just released 2.4.12 -- and some patches for the parallel port
do exist now as well.
