installation doesn't add an entry to /etc/sysctl.conf. After
enabling it, things work fine.
Now, if I could just find a working patch to the ppp in Sarge to add
MPPE support, that would be wonderful. Until then, I'm using a
precompiled ppp RPM from poptop.sourceforge.net.

I just setup my Linux box to use the new /etc/init.d/networking startup
script. I was using the old /etc/init.d/network script from the
sysvinit examples. Can someone tell me where I'm supposed to put calls
to ipchains to setup my firewalling and masquerading?

Sorry for the false alarm. I checked by BIOS setup and the card was not being
assigned an interrupt. Forcing the interrupt to 12 has fixed the problem.
