XMMS kills Gnome activity!

Hi, I'm having a problem with XMMS. I am using the version that comes with Debian 2.2.19pre17 ISO image 1. Whenever I am playing a song, I can't open windows, popup menus, etc. until I click STOP or the song ends. Once it ends, it performs all the tasks I tried to do while it was playing.

I'm trying to configure LILO to allow me to boot from my FAT partition (Windows 98) and my Linux partition, but for some reason the only thing it'll boot from is Linux. If I try to run a boot loader from DOS to configure it, the only partition it'll find is the Windows one. Does anyone know

USBVISION Driver Problem

Hi, I tried to install the USBVISION driver following the Readme to the letter, but whenever I type 'make dep' I get the following error: *** No rule to make target 'i2c-algo-usb.c', needed by 'usr/src/linux/include/linux/modules/i2c-algo-usb.ver'. Stop. By the way, I'm using Linux source

Lucent 56k modem

I know the Lucent 56k modem built into my Gateway Solo 5300cs is supported under Linux, but I can't seem to find any information on how to set it up. Can anyone tell me, or point me to a good HOWTO? Thanks. -- Deven
