A suggestion. You may have lost the mbr when the disk failed. If you
completely reinstalled your system oncluding reformat of drives that option

Sounds like you are trying to use apache the 'normal' way. Use it the
'debian' way and you will find that it works a lot better when you
upgrade

that pops up prior to installation. I check the bug to see if I want to risk
it and proceed from there.

want to set up a secure server especially if this is a production
system. That will take care of your mod-ssl issues. Apache2 which is OK
in unstable is MUCH easier to work with.but it is in UNSTABLE :-)

2.3.9 from SuSE, converted it to a .deb with alien and installed it. Of
course I forgot that libc6 is the debian way of handeling this
dependency (see locales; unstable) Yeah it was VERY late.

-common1.3 you are out of luck, and there are a lot
of them. I am currently trying to get drupal running using this method
but so far just research on how to accomplish this. I will keep you
apprised of any other things that I discover.
