It is definate, thunderbird dies whether I am connected at the time, or
not. I was just trying to send an e-mail message and I had to save the
message as a draft after completing each sentence, since I sometimes could
not get that much completed before it would die on me, again.

My wife just bought me a Polaroid PhotoMAX 640 SE for Fathers' Day, at a

Never get a busy signal because you are always connected with high-speed
Internet
and audio groups. Any
ideas on what I have misconfigured. I don't have a
clue where to look, or what other information might be
useful in diagnosing this problem.

required by gtk+2.0 and everything else depends on that. So nothing

I just upgraded from Woody to Sarge.
I boot to a command line and use startx to run X. I have been running
Gnome, but, since the upgrade, startx is now loading KDE. If I try to
run gnome-session to run Gnome I get the following error:
(gnome-session:535): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display
Has anyone used this system?
My current desktop (an ageing P166) has had mouse problems since it was
given to me and I have replaced the mouse 2 or 3 times. It works better
for a while, but then performance degrades to near uselessness (as it
currently is). I have decided that a new system that
Netscape shows all of the postings from all of my
digests. This is why I am still using Netscape. Bloated though it may
be, it does the job correctly.
Does anyone know of any way to prevent this problem in Sylpheed?
