Problems with autofs

I try to automagically mount an usb drive following the autofs instructions in the wiki ( http://wiki.debian.org/AutoFs ). For some reason it just doesn't work. I can't find any relevant error message in messages or syslog. Any ideas where I can begin to troubleshoot? Thanks! # cat
