Does not work for me. Resolution is still 75x75 as xdpyinfo says.

Since I use xfs, the order of the font path is in /etc/X11/xfs/config in
the catalogue. By putting 75 before 100 as you suggested, I fixed my
problem. Thanks again.

I bet you have xfonts-100dpi installed somewhere! Try remove the package
or put path to
