What Video card do you have?
I experienced annoyance with AMD video card/driver. If that is the case,
you can search on google, or ask the mailling list again for how to
install the required firmware.
Unfortunately, it is not smooth.

Got the Debian 5 Lenny tried installing it ona g8 380p proliant server,
but i got the "the cd-rom drive contains a cd which cannot be used for
installation" thought it was an OS problem , tried istalling squeeze 6.0
same problem, tried burning the OS on a USB stick again same probl

restarting again and again...
I try with RAID 0,RAID 1 and RA
As they told me on debian-boot list, the problem was being
caused by bug #696942 which has been fixed in yesterday weekly
iso image of wheezy.
It now works, tanks.

I'm trying to install Debian Wheezy amd64 (January 28 iso file) on a new pc
I've just assembled. The mainboard is an Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0, with
AMD 990fx/SB950 chipset. The CPU is an AMD FX-8350 and I have 16GB of RAM,
