Saludos y gracias.

I have tried 3 times to get my kernel version 2.4.6 direct source from
kernel.org to compile using make-kpkg buildpackage and tried using
individual commands. I get the same end error with all functions
build-stamp Error 2 and it seems to try to compile a Debian source

I have a problem. I have been trying to get the recent version of the kernel
into my box. I am a relatively new user so I have not done this before. I
used a kernel-update guide and followed all the directions and everything
worked fine until I rebooted. When I did it gave me the following
your kernel if you need to.
I'm fairly new to Debian as well, so I'm sure if I got any of this
wrong, someone will correct me. :)

Just a quick question, will Debian/Woody (testing) need any extra updates to
compile and use a linux 2.4.6 kernel? I want to use iptables and stuff.

reran it a few times, and then eventually no errors reported. Downloaded
kernel 2.4.6, and compiled. Installed iptables, had some issues, needed to
load netfilter modules.. so I loaded them manually.. just to confirm

Jeff Garzik, who now does much of the ethernet kernel work, has made many
