Installed a new box off Woody install disks and net. Looks good, customizing to be inhabited. This is a Dell PowerEdge 1300.
Off the install disks it loads OEM i85527/85528 driver for what is supposed to be an eepro card. I download 2.4.12, configure the eepro into the kernel per the norm and reboot, no eth... Try as a module, no eth. I revert to the install kernel, it loads eth0 just fine, I make note of the IRQ and Addr. Put append="ether=11,0x7000" into my lilo.conf and reboot again. No eth... WTF? :wq! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert L.
