Harddisk controller _almost_ solved!

Hi! Sorry, i'm late, but i haven't had time to try. Here' is how i worked out. I also use the Asus A7V. I plugged the Harddisk into hda, booted from CD, installed Linux and checked the I/O of the Promise controller. Then i replugged the hd back into the ATA-100 controller and booted like you

From my personal experience I have not been able to get the kernel patches for 2.2* to work. The patches are not so great backports from the 2.4* kernels, so the easiest way to get the card to work with my experience is to use 2.4* kernels, I have been using them with the card since around
