Bug#647875: RFA: tuxonice-userui
Package: wnpp Severity: normal Hello, As I'm not using tuxonice-userui anymore and don't have so much time to maintain it neither, I think that something else should take over the maintainership. The package is currently in a quite good shape as I just uploaded a package fixing serious bugs a few days ago. There has been no recent upstream release but it's still maintained (according to the activity from the Git repository). If someone wants to take over, then the Git repository should be used, for now at least. Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Octavio Alvarez alvar...@alvarezp.ods.org * Package name: superkb Version : 0.22 Upstream Author : Octavio Alvarez alvar...@alvarezp.ods.org * URL : http://superkb.sourceforge.net/ * License : GPLv2 Programming Lang: C Description : Keyboard-based launcher with unobtrusive on-screen graphical hints. Hi. This is a program I wrote to enable key bindings to work with the Super key. Holding down the Super key for N seconds shows a keyboard on screen with hints about available bound keys. Configuration is stored in a flat text file. You can bind arbitrary scripts to your keys. It has been helpful to me because I can easily replicate my bindings to another PC and, so I have my keyboard full of shortcuts, I can check them when in doubt. The Super key is not fixed, so you can use any magic key in laptops that don't have the key (like the T42) without losing it. I am also learning to package for Debian. I am very willing to learn and become a maintainer in the near future, and potentially a developer. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. This file format is used under the hood by a lot of applications: the files created by Microsoft Office until the 2007 product release are all structured storage files. They include multiple streams of information (document summary, user data) in a single phisical container (the file). Also the omnipresent Thumbs.db, used by Windows as thumbnails cache, is a structured storage file. OpenMCDF makes available to the developer an easy interface to read, write, add and remove structured storage primitives. Structured storage items are organized in a hierarchical tree where 'storage' nodes act like a directory and 'stream' nodes like a file. Developers can use OpenMCDF to view storages and streams, traverse hierarchical trees of items, explore existing compound file and modify them or create a new compound file from scratch. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. There is some more work I'd like to do (e.g. fixing all the lintian Info tags and updating d/copyright to use DEP5). Sorry for the delay. I have had a look at all the lintian I tags. There are a lot of hyphen-used-as-minus-sign (100+) and I am not sure whether they are worth fixing (would be a lot more work then the gains). I have anyway fixed a small typo adding the new patch fix_manpage_spelling. They are certainly worth fixing, though they are maybe not worth fixing as Debian patches. They should all be forwarded upstream IMHO. Ok. We probably should also have a look at the other patches and see if they need forwarding or are Debian specific. I have already set Forwarded: not-needed for some of the patches that I think are Debian specific (feel free to change this if you feel so) and I have also removed the libtool patch since it was not applied anyway (if we'll need it we can revert the git commit). Apart from fix_manpage_spelling I don't know why the other patches are needed (or if they are Debian specific or not). The no_com_err seems to be made to avoid to link and Depends against libcomerr2 and libk5crypto3, in libcurl3* packages, the curl_links_with_rt adds -lrt to the LDFLAGS and runtests_gdb runs some tests with libtool instead of invoking gdb directly. Final note. Since this new release, curl can be also built using polarssl 1.0 (which is the version in Debian), and I was wondering whether it would make sense to add support for it too (adding libcurl3-polarssl and libcurl4-polarssl-dev packages). I didn't try to build with it yet though. I would only add those when there is a user request (bug report) for them. Ok. Bug#615595: O: sim -- Sim-IM Instant Messenger data files
Hi, I am considering to request a removal of sim because it is unmaintained and RC-buggy. The main bug with nonfree icons were already solved in upstream. Also it does not crash anymore. But I saw a version of sim on mentors.d.n, despite this bug not being an ITA. So Alexander or Nikolay, are any of you interested in maintaining this in Debian? Can somebody help me with verifying debian build rules to be accepted? I have my own build ruleset: http://svn.berlios.de/viewvc/sim- im/branches/build-files/0.9.5/debian-unofficial/ I do not understand what zowers have written :-/ also we should rename packages sim-qt - sim-im and sim - dev/null I also do not know how. If not, I will file a removal request very soon (within 2 weeks). Right now I am busy with migrating project from berlios.de Which will close at the end of December. So If it can wait some more time till I am done with migrating staff it would be great. If not, hope I will manage to do both in time... -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-wnpp-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
