for xterm 261-1 is fine. But if I run xterm -fa DejaVu Sans Mono
the icon is too big again.

Xterm's active icon now (261-1) is as big as the uniconified
window. The icon still uses the correct font, but icon size is
wrong.
I tried downgrading to 260-1, here the icon is fine but the main
font is wrong. After downgrading to 259-1
