I'm currently running Imail 7.04HF2 with Declude 1.38 and KWM 2.0.9. Is
there
anything I should know before upgrading? Should I upgrade Declude first?
The IMail upgrades often overwrite the Declude registry entries, so after
upgrading, it's a good idea to run the \IMail\Declude.exe file
I was wondering if it were possible to define a different
directory (or folder) for any specified test. This would

This is something that has been requested several times, and something that

Ah, good point.
While we're at it, I should mention that the next beta release of Declude

I just got a similar report from one of my users. And it DID fail various
tests that would have triggered BOUNCE if I didn't have my local server and
domain WHITELISTed.
I'm not sure how to proceed. If I take my own server and domain out of the
whitelist and these messages come through, my

I don't know if SMTP Auth leaves a signature in the header that can be

Here's the the part of the log file that shows it using
e:\Imail\Declude\$default$.junkmail.
I'll send the entire log file to your address if you would like.
That's OK -- there should be enough information in here.
IMail is reporting the alias as [EMAIL PROTECTED], and Declude

I know there is an undocumented adult test in Declude, but I was wondering
if there could be an adult language test added to the program? Or maybe
that test does that.
I would like to add the subject Adult: to any message that would pass the

Hmmm, I would like to know more about this undocumented adult test that
Declude has--how does one implement it and what kinds of things does it look

We have just released Declude JunkMail v1.55 (beta), at

o Renamed FOLDER action to MAILBOX, to avoid confusion
o Fixes an issue with the new IP detection from 1.54 in multihop setups.

Declude JunkMail v1.55 (beta) now includes the ability to use some basic

First, you need to define the test, by adding a line like the following to

I just saw an interesting new method of getting spam through

The body of the message (HTML code only) was not separated from the

actually part of the header. My Eudora read and rendered the message

This is probably in the archives of this list somewhere, but I need help
understanding how the Imail KILL list works in reference with Declude

I am testing using the kill list for the domains that send me the most

Here is the header information on the example email I was referring to.
As you can see the 'Reply-to:' with @boing.topica.com. My blacklist just

you have responded, that this should not have made it to Declude if
A little food for thought on using the Imail kill file versus the declude
blacklist...
The Imail kill file refuses the mail at the SMTP level which may alert the
spammer that your blocking them. Not to mention that the cpu burden is put
on smtp32.exe instead of passing it off to declude.exe
Scott,
I have turned on XSENDER and here is another example of a domain that is
getting blocked by my blacklist but not by the kill list.
I have 'bonustree.com' in my kill list. The reply to addy that declude
is displaying is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Should this not get stopped by
the kill list?

If I use the DELETE option for emails that fail the test for my black

friendlier to my server?
It would serve the same purpose, *except* that the sender will not know

Although it isn't completely on topic (since it involves IMail's Kill

I'm curious to see how many people are using iMail with Junkmail as a

We have been using IMAIL for a few years as a gateway for our exchange
servers. IMAIL resides in our primary DMZ zone while our Exchange
Servers reside way behind a couple of firewalls.
I like this configuration because of its simplicity and IMAIL's ability
