IMO you should never let a single test hold a messages.
The question is: what is a single test? Or Is invURIBL a single test?
invURIBL does multiple checks insinde and so it's practicaly a set of
URIBL-based tests that could add some points to the weighting system.
I would consider, to not block
There is a lot of flexiblity in the invuribl scoring.
I consider the surbl.org to be a consolidation of separate uribl lists and
use the bitmask scoring option.
So if somebody is listed on more than one list, they'll get higher weights.
I can also score lists such as ws.surbl.org lower because
I hold on just INV-URIBL, but that's just me and I'm no where near as on
top of this stuff as most people that post here. That said, I've never
found a false positive from INV-URIBL.

Has anyone measured the difference in CPU requirements between Fprot and the
internal AVG? We've upgraded to the latest Declude and turned off the
internal scanner for now. We will probably migrate before the Fprot
renewal under the new terms - I just wanted an idea if we have to upgrade to
Is there a way to check to see if an email exists before Declude does all
the testing...many accounts are gone now and I am sure there are many emails
trying to be delivered to addresses that are not there..which is consuming
my server...I am at 100% many times trying to process the spam...
Are you running IMail or SmarterMail ?

Yes. They are making a good point. The courts shouldn't allow spammers
to file SLAPP suits as a way to threaten blacklists out of the
business. Even though Spamhaus could have fought this and won quite
easily, the fact that one has to spend resources fighting SLAPP suits is
a threat in

OK, I thought Declude took over first..I know it has been said here before
but what are the sequences to deliver an email to a box?
Which programs activate first and so on down the line...in Imail

IPs blocks

invURLB

FProt
I have all these going on...
Richard
Declude is not a mail server. IMail accepts the email for valid email
addresses, then passes those messages on to Declude.
So if you don't have nobody aliases, then you should check to see if you are
under significant dictionary attacks. If so, you can reduce the load on
your mail server
Do you have any domains with nobody aliases?
Easy to check by doing Start | Run | regedit
Access HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | Software | Ipswitch | Imail | Domains
Click Edit | Find
Enter nobody and be sure all three boxes are checked
Note the domain name for any hits, then click F3 to get tio the
Thank you..I will do more leg work to see what I can do...your help is
appreciated..

Create a new text file in you imail\declude

Add a line CODE -x-xx-xx-
replacing the xxx-xx with your code.
