Interesting idea. A quick search of Google turned up some of the same
suspicious types :)

The following product looks like it might work well. It goes up to 4GB
and has an auto-save feature.

It wouldn't help very much. The main reason is caching -- Windows will
automatically cache frequently used files, so all of those files should be
in memory already.
If the spool directory was on a RAM
now run - the dns tests
take care of the load so cpu use is way down

If the spool directory was on a RAM drive, though, it could speed things
up
quite a bit (the RFCs say this is not allowed, though), as the information
constantly changes.
Why would the RFCs care where the spool is? Performance wise, that would be
a great use if you had the funds.

Some ramdrives autosave at configurable intervals. I see this as not
being that much worse than enabling caching on a hard drive or array,
although it probably doesn't make
