Has any tried using BitDefender with Declude Virus, or ClamAV for that
matter?
Does it work?

I use ClamAV.
Overall it is very effective. More effective than FProt and AVG. About the
same as Mcafee.
If you are willing to turn Prescan OFF, it is good at catching Phish too.
It did have some bad defs last month that caused about 15 emails to be
mis-flagged.

I'm using both at the moment. ClamAV needs a helper program for Declude to
capture the virus name.

For those responding about ClamAV, my PPSS.
I meant mxGuard. Is any one using BitDefender with either Declude or
mxGuard?

I wonder if ICS standard includes the same executable file for BitDefender
as the one you are using.

It's the free version: BitDefender Free Edition v7. We don't have it
running in production, just on a test server, but it seems to run just fine
in testing - although it is the slowest of the virus scanners we have
tested: McAfee, F-Prot, TrendMicro, and ClamAV.

FYI for anyone who is contemplating going to the new version of Ipswitch's
collaboration suite it looks like their yearly renewal prices are going to

Have you been hiding for the last couple of weeks? :-)
Ipswitch first stood firm and refused to budge, then backpedaled when
they realized how pissed everyone was. Now they say they will sell
SA's for a mere $695 to existing users now. Such a deal.
They might sell an Imail upgrade to someone
:) no I've been monitoring the list, but I wasn't sure if everyone had
jumped from the burning ship yet, I did know that Imail was still selling
SA's to existing customers for Imail itself, but considering you are paying
for support on an end of life product, it doesn't make much sense. Until
