Hmm. . . I'd like something along more explicit lines, like a post from development. Is't possible? Again staying just shy of a rant, as in my recent post to the Junkmail list on the same topic, but this is exactly the kind of reason that I'm not touching 3.0, and perhaps never will. A primary reason to use DV/EVA over other products (selective notification) is broken, and it's only fixed in a secret pre-release version? Ugh.
