I didn't know where to add it, but discussions of the icons themselves
should go on the wiki page somewhere.
MediaWiki developers thought of that, and created the talk pages. :-)
I agree. Maybe discussions on the mailing list, but why not collect arguments
on the wiki talk page:
Absolutely agree with every word. Use of the wiki for discussing anything icon
related would be great.
Can someone create a whiteboard?
Could the designers post as one image their set of icon ideas
[current/best ideas] in a PNG/JPG file on the wiki pages or somewhere
else? Someone like me
Hi all,
mirek2, I love your mockup [1]. Also those Icons are not Tango. Didn't know
those existed. This, to me, looks like the direction LO should be heading in
general. Nice clean and easy to grasp structure. Easy to say, hard to put into
action.
Can't wait to see this stuff happening.
[1]
Well, the simple shapes and colors were what we called for -- it's a
characteristic of Swiss design. We chose to go with Swiss style, as it
represents simplicity and celebrates typography.
The choice of colors is greatly restricted by the guidelines [1], so we
can't blame Mateus for that
This process is all but trivial. And mirek2 is doing a great job at trying to
make everybodys voice heard and not letting anybody in the dark.
Which IRC meetup are we talking about? 26.th Jan 17h german time (GMT +1).
Is that right? If so, we should post that on G+ with a link to a webchat
based
Great news. So now that we have a deadline for contributions, what will the
decision making process look like?

Good job Alex. I *really* like this design.
Could this be added to the wiki?
(https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Whiteboards/4.0_Branding) Or are
you still trying to clear the licensing issues?

So far I'm missing any timeline on the wiki page:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Whiteboards/4.0_Branding
Could someone familiar with that add some dates to the status indicator?
Otherwise it's really hard to tell how much time is left, to get work done.

Unsubscribe instructions:
I love the mockups by Andy Fitzsimon. Also agree with Paul: carefull when
adding elements. Too many elements f*ck up the beauty of simplicity.
Alexander, did you already mail Andy? Any results already?
OT: I'm subscribed to the design mailing list, somehow I'm still not
received any mails so
I like how this discussion is evolving. Gathering many thoughts should help
to find a good solution.
I do like the background. The refined other elements look a bit overproduced
to me. Something simple and a little less playful might be sufficient
already. The background is busy. The front
Revamping that page sounds like a good plan. Is that the code coming form
GSoC? If I recall correctly there was a task dealing with templates.
I tried:

Javier, for overview purposes I took the liberty to add your splash screen to
the Branding wiki:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Whiteboards/4.0_Branding
Imo the placing off the left 3 elements is a bit random and un-aligned. Also
I'm not to keen about the fonts being used. The bottom
I disagree. Facebook is a real problem and voicing general concerns with the
idea behind Facebook is legit and honest.

Splash screens starting to pour in. Javier Antonio Nisa Ávila on G+ linked
his one here: http://ubuntuone.com/7H4nQUM4D7hRvLXfMkx1es
Could someone add that splash screen to the wiki?

Also: The splash screens really are not that bad. Currently I don't see, how
they can be commented on or be discussed. But with a few tweaks here and
there they would be even better.
Any chance to add some sort of commenting system to the wiki? Like now,
every commenter would have to get a wiki
Some comments incoming on the facebook page. Also a designer on G+ seems
interested in getting in touch. I'm on neither platform so maybe someone
could respond?

Would be great to see parts of this amazing mockup become real. LO is in
desperate need of a refresh.
