gnome-panel is asking for a 24x24 icon for 24 pixels panel. And if it
doesn't, it will for a 25px or 26px panel.

About the menu: this is not a panel issue, but a GTK+ issue since we're
using a menubar here. We could workaround here, but we'd still have the
issue with the text of the menu. So I don't know how to handle this.
Answering Remo: it's the font that forces the minimum height of the
panel.

I have this same problem. The nautilus sidebar is correct, it only shows
mounted partitions. My root partition is listed twice in Computer. I
also have a paritition named wrong, but not that same partition or name.

We can consider the device name change for edgy, I suspect the only
reason we don't name them that is that nobody else did at the time we
froze our udev rules.
I'm against the idea of a group just for one device node, a firewire
group could be added and all *1394 devices placed into that though;
I don't think it happens with the LiveCD, and I don't have one at the moment.
This could easily be due to some old misconfiguration, but newer versions of
packages should've fixed it anyway. I've updated my packages several times a
week for the last 4 months.

The icons are too abstract in my opinion. It's just a progress bar and
could represent anything. There's no visual indication that it
represents the signal strength of the wireless connection. There should
be an antenna or something similar included.
