Well I am using 2.12.1-3ubuntu2 and it (specifically selecting duplex
for a print from the dialog box) does *not* work (and never has).
However, as far as I can tell, paper selection and all the other options
now *do* work.
Since the duplex check box is on a different screen to all the others,
I am still using Ubuntu 5.10 and I don't plan on updating to 6.06 soon.
Ubuntu 5.10 was the latest release when I reported the bug.

what version of gnome-system-tools is installed? just update the package
using update-manager (or the updates systray icon). No need to use a

If I want to automatically sign messages in Evolution, it needs to have
seahorse-agent running. Seahorse-agent is not running when the system
is first installed. Further, the name seahorse isn't visible in any
menu -- it's called Encryption
Look at https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+lang/ca and search
Evince. It seems that there is no person who works on the evince
translation. And as far as I know if it's not translated there (in
Rosetta) it's also not translated in the official language pack.

I sometimes use the panel, sometimes the terminal. I don't see what it
changes. In all cases, the windows that open get focus automatically,
which is just plain bad.

it changes that the logic depends of the way apps are started. The
questions are here to make easier to figure why it's broken for you and
not other people. Replying to the question usually make easier for
people to fix your issue, just saying it doesn't work right is often
of no use for that

This happens to me too, asus laptop with ati m6 ly. The buttons on the
default human theme are garbaged, the others are ok, on my desktop with
a ati 9600xt it's all ok, i think the matter is the ati/radeon dri
driver (the 3d is activated with the m6 but not in the 9600xt)

Installation of rss-glx does install a bunch of gl screensavers that DO
work, but the particle-based ones (flux, solar winds, gravity, etc) as
well as euphoria and fireworks do not.
Interestingly enough, these are the ones that don't show in the
OK, just trying to understand... Are you telling me that on your
machine, the windows popup without gaining focus automatically? This
happens on all three Dapper (and previous releases) machines I have, so
I just assumed that it was the case for everyone.

I solved the problem by adding
session optional pam_foreground.so
to the end of /etc/pam.d/common-session
maybe you have to create /var/run/console.

I was reading the book, and when I got to p.296 Evince crashed without
an error message.
Shared folder does only default to the home directory. I attempted to
make a sub directory but this did not work. It keeps wanting to share
the whole home dir.Ubuntu must fix this. I have an suse dvd on
stand by. There is no reason why this should not have made the Dapper
in time.
