I just tested Hardy Alpha 1 on my Dell Inspiron 510m. The slider now appears in GPM, but the settings on the slider do not actually affect the brightness level. On a related note, the brightness icon that appears on the screen when one uses the hotkeys no longer shows the correct brightness.
