this is a as designed feature of the Joliet standards (an euphemism for
bug??).
If you choose to burn the CD with compatibility to Windows systems, the
filenames mustn't be longer than 64 Unicode characters. That's a Joliet
convention.

I confirm the issue. Like Steven Harper noted the problem appears when
different graph rendering method is automatically chosen from system
monitor if the window is bigger than 600px.

two test machines, neither will power down the monitor.

I think this has to do with my cd rom. It has always been a bit of a problem in
that it won't recognise burnt cd's when it is the first type of cd I open. If I
try factory made cd's first then I can try a burnt cd.

browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground = true
in about:config is reported to work.
Also the upstream bug confirms what Christer found,
that this is a metacity issue, see

yelp crashed with SIGSEGV in g_signal_emit_valist()
Tried backporting of the current pam (0.99.10.0), but they need some debian /
ubuntu specific patches (@include directives, etc.)
I was not successful in adapting them for this version.
Eighter the @include of the pam config files does not work, or after
trying to adapt the patch,
I selected a wrong file in the theme, and then it crashed.
