It seems it has problems with raising permissions. Any operation that
would require superuser's permission crashes System Monitor. I find it
particularly annoying when trying to kill some other user's process.
ATM the only way I know of to get around this bug is to launch SM
explicitly with

I also just upgraded from Dapper to Hardy, and am experiencing this.
Long URLs only get their first line recognized. Oddly, sometimes it
works fine. If I paste a long URL into vi or the command line, the
whole thing is recognized. If I cat a file with a long URL, the whole
thing is recognized.
I just did what you said, but nothing happens (except evolution is
killed).

The Init script for GDM: /etc/gdm/Init/Default is looking to see if
/etc/X11/Xresources is a file. If it is, it merges the entries in that
file into the X server's resources.

Because of my specific interest for this application, I'd want to use F Spot
under Ubuntu (Gnome) to import, process and export all my pictures, coming from
a MINOLTA Dimage A200 supporting MMC cards and from a Panasonic FX supporting
SD cards.
Upstream has commited a fix to SVN, and this should be available on the
next interim release of Evo for Intrepid (2.23.5, probably).

This has been open since 2005. Is anyone working on adding this as a
setting at the very least to gconf-editor? It would be preferable for
the Recent Documents to have a preferences option added to its tab. I
