I do use xearth for a background image, and it updates every 10 minutes.
I'm not sure what else you mean by configuration. I strongly suspect
the leak is related to the deskbar applet, because I seem to remember
noticing that I didn't have the huge memory usage on the occasions that
it crashed

happens and I don't know how I triggered the problem. I suspect that the
cause of the problem back in Gutsy was disabling Compiz, but I'm not
sure :(

Easily said, when I have ~/app/app.jar and launch it, currently the nautilus do:
$ java -jar ~/app/app.jar
(cwd is undefined, mostly ~)
and should do:
$ cd ~/app
$ java
libytnef0 was installed with ytnef the same time by Synaptic, I just checked
all that stuff in one time.
So when I written all that stuff was installed and Evolution did nothing about
winmail.dat.
Any other ideas?

I am getting this problem as well I have a /etc/gdm.conf-custom, i have
backed that up to /etc/gdm.conf-custom-bck (using sudo mv /etc/gdm.conf-
custom /etc/gdm.conf-custom-bck), when launching gdmsetup gdm.conf-
custom gets recreated, still segfaulting though. I have included a
strace of gdmsetup
Please forgive me if this is incorrect, but I want to see if this
information helps others better troubleshoot this issue.
While researching the issue for my similar bug report, I found that
having a DNS server that responds to otherwise invalid host entries
(i.e. OpenDNS) may contribute.
I have found some very long filenames in my trash. I think that this is
the main problem.
