I was trying to see a movie in an .avi format file and placed on the
same location the subtitles file, in order to recognize it...I thought.
Without the subtitle file (in .srt format) the movie plays smoothly.

The only workaround I found is to rebuild the PDF file in a way that
avoids the unprintable boxes, or use Adobe Reader to print the PDF. Any
open-source PDF reader I know about use Poppler which suffers from this
problem.
