I think I've answered both those question: Yes it's reproducable, I

Thank for your efforts to try improving issue. Having a good idea on
whether a bug is an upstream or an ubuntu one usually require to know if
ubuntu does change. The code issues are upstream ones 97% of the time
since ubuntu has very few patches usually. Ubuntu users should open bugs
on launchpad

After a recent GVFS update the fix posted here doesn't work anymore and
the update itself did not fix problem with samba shares either :((

Hi, I have this problem too on Ubuntu Intreprid (latest updates)
The cause of the problem is that my /home directory is on a ext3
partition and my / partition is on a reiserfs partition.
The /home partition reached the max mount count (31), so normally I'm used that
it checks the drive in
