seems the new MBP / MBA's use the 10 byte light value from the left
sensor as follows:
first 2 bytes seem to always be 01

Yes, as soon as I instelled gvfs-dbgsym and libhal1-dbgsym the problem
went away. I guess it is because a bunch of -dbg packages were
automatically removed at the same time.
I removed the nautilus-dbgsym, gvfs-dbgsym and libhal1-dbgsym packages
that I installed to track this crash, and the
Jumping in as this problem affects my programming efforts also.
I belive the core of the problem is, that the session-id is not a
mandatory part with mt-daapd, but rhythmbox fails to use an URI that
does not contain it.
This works with a browser (no session-id specified):

when it tries to open it. However, from testing with Jaunty I can see
that this has been fixed in gthumb 3:2.10.10-0ubuntu2.
I am not sure this will be important enough to be fixed in Ubuntu 8.04,

same process from a live cd and open up sever terminals previous to any

I have the Darklooks theme installed and I have it selected but whenever
I reboot my computer it resets the theme to something else. I'm not
sure what it's resetting to because when I load the gnome-appearance-
