I have a DELL Latitude E6400, and the audio input (e.g. in skype) is not
working in Jaunty.
Everything working fine in Intrepid.
In Jaunty, Kmix does not have an option to switch to digital audio input.

I couldn't find a dupe either that is why I created a new one. Tried it
on my 8.10 32 bit machine today and all was fine. Also did a update
dist-upgrade today there was some new totem files but the problem is
still there.

I just ran a backtrace (my first ever, hurray!) on totem while trying to
play an m4v video file (all-your-base.m4v). This video file played just
fine in Intrepid, but now that I've upgraded to Jaunty, totem freezes
when I try to play it. If there is any other info I can provide that may

I've just done some debugging on this, and this is caused because Compiz
is not shipping a desktop file in /usr/share/gnome/wm-properties
anymore, so gnome-appearance-properties can't load the module it needs

This is Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy. I've tried enabling and disabling certain startup
scripts, but it still won't do anything!

The bug still happens 100% of the time with evolution, thunderbird is
ok. Sometimes the screen is painted partially or fully black except for
