I just want to quickly chime in. I too am bugged by this behaviour. Just
open a movie, and then manually load a subtitle (any will do). The movie
will start from the beginning, with subtitle this time. But I agree with
the OP that the movie should just continue where it was before.

Running 9.04 amd64 which was upgraded from 8.10 amd64. It worked fine
in 8.10 and now does not in 9.04.
I have all the gstreamer plugins installed (good,bad,ugly,gnolin etc)
and libdvdcss, and previously I could drag an ISO to the totem window
for it to play.

This has happened to me too on Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04, gnome 2.26.1. Like
the poster above me the wastebasket, battery, wifi signal, gwibber and
pidgin icons moved to the far right of the screen. Prior to this I had
unchecked the Expand button but then checked it again, and then
restarted the

2) move down with PgDn
3) after the 7th page, the 1st PgDn does nothing, the second takes you to page

I took a look a the filetypes using assoGiate, which clearly shows the problem.
The mimetype application/x-font-otf doesn't have the filename pattern defined,
while the application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.formula-template (which is the
problematic MIME here) does have the filename pattern.

Ubuntu icon on the system
So, my mom's Ubuntu Hardy (yeah I know, old) machine has this problem
and I took a look at it this morning. I think it works now. I changed
one line in the configure file for the libcamel1.2-whatever package:
LARGEFILE_CFLAGS=-D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE
gets changed to:

I'm using the beta of Ubuntu Jaunty and when I open Empathy, all is
fine: I can see who is connected etc. The problem occurs when I try to
call someone. It starts and then suddnely hangs and crashes.
In skype, it is all fine
What is the solution? Where can I find the answer? This is not very
helpful without that information.

In Ubuntu Remix 9.04 Jaunty, there is incorrect wording in the Reset
option in the Quit Session dialog that opens when you click on the
Quit... icon in Netbook Launcher.
The correct action occurs if you click on the Reset button; it is ony
