The error is coming from the gst-plugins-base, could somebody having the
issue get a gstreamer log with: GST_DEBUG=5 GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1 totem
/path/to/file log then bzip it and attach it to the report? that'd

I've reverted my changes to the gnome-settings-daemon and I did the same
with synaptics driver default settings. Now we're more compliant with
upstream's default settings (both Gnome and synaptics use 1 3 2 instead
of 1 2 3).

I miss a lot of new messages with Empathy and Lucid. Indeed, the small
green indicator applet without notifications is not enough for my
distracted mind :)

Ok apologies, seems I had libcamel1.2-14
2.29.92-1ubuntu0+git20100318.017dbcd2~fmarl installed instead of
2.28.3.1-0ubuntu1.
This will have been when I have added extra repositories in the past
trying to get evolution-mapi installed.
Anyway, downgraded that, and everything is working fine now!
The same problem. Ge Force4 420 Go and 96.xx package, both from the
universe and from nvidia site. Deleting the xorg.conf return to de
generic driver.

I had the same problem and fixed it by running sudo apt-get install
compiz.

Gnome Appearance Properties dialog hangs when changing desktop effects
.jpgs in the pdf still seem to cause a problem. png files and vector
graphics ok.
Is someone working on this? If this goes to lucid, expect to see angry
mobs with pitch forks...
