What you describe is mostly not a bug, it's how upstream fixed the it's
impossible to open the context menu (the one with the create folder,
etc) in list views since there is no empty space to click on), if you
click on the text part of the colum you get the context menu for the
item, if you click

The terminal doesn't prompt you to type a command until the yelp command
finish, five seconds after the window be destroyed

Seems like upstream dropped that option, there are already 3 choices of
view, and text bellow or beside icons and zoom level, it's enough
combinaisons to support, we don't plan to add back the settings you
describe in an Ubuntu specific way, you can try to argue on the GNOME
bug tracker about its
I have this problem still in 12.04 Beta.
I had this problem before in Oneric... but kinda got used to it, and just
remembered it today when I was doing some
gksu gedit work... I also tried gksudo gedit
surprisingly sudo gedit doesn't open the extra tab, though I don't intend to
use sudo
Still an issue on fully updated Precise 12.04.
