I think I misread comment #8. It sounds like a workaround has been
found, but perhaps there's still a regression?

Sorry I don't quite follow. Does that mean the issue goes away after
downgrade and upgrade? Does USB-C display resolution can be changed now?

Everyone should also pay attention to the date and time shown in the
output from 'journalctl -b0 | grep MetaSyncRing'. If you have installed
the PPA then we only care about timestamps after the PPA was installed
and after you logged in again to apply the change.

using desktops other than GNOME.

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 23.10
Package: gnome-control-center 1:45.0-1ubuntu3.1
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 6.5.0-27.28-generic 6.5.13
Uname: Linux 6.5.0-27-generic x86_64
ApportVersion: 2.27.0-0ubuntu5
Architecture:
Running "journalctl -b0 | grep MetaSyncRing", I confirm having this bug,
which appeared roughly 2 w-ago after classical update.
This implies lack of responsiveness (up to 2 seconds lags) in terminal
as well as in GUI, especially when dragging objects, scrolling, double-
clicking and so on.
It seems to be a mesa issue which should get fixed with the incoming
point release

[Xorg] Large performance regression in fullscreen windows
To manage notifications about this bug
I can reproduce this bug in Xorg sessions with Intel graphics. My
fullscreen benchmark results are about a quarter of what they should be
when mutter/gnome-shell is running. 4x performance is achieved by
running on a bare Xorg server without mutter/gnome-shell.

Something like that. To get the log from the latest boot I would use:
journalctl -b0 > journal.txt
which seems to be almost the same as 'journalctl -xb'.

The "journalctl -xb" one, right?

To manage
Can be related, I see that fullscreen windows are not being unredirected when
running Wayland session with mutter 46 (gfx1103_r1, LLVM 15.0.7, DRM 3.57,
6.8.0-22-generic):

P.S.
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
